Director of Operations (Janitorial Services)
Location: Nationwide (up to 75% travel required)

Salary Range: $150k–$165k based on experience and credentials (Eligible for a 15% bonus)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced leader with a robust background in operations within the janitorial industry. The ideal candidate will possess not only extensive operational expertise but also a strong aptitude for integrating emerging technologies and innovative strategies into our processes. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing our operations, guiding the Regional Operations Managers and their staff, and ensuring that all contract sites are operated with the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and service excellence.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with corporate teams, including HR and Accounting, to ensure the seamless execution of operations and the achievement of organizational goals. Additionally, you will dedicate approximately 30% of your efforts to business development, supporting sales activities such as responding to RFPs and identifying new market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Lead and mentor Regional Operations Managers to maintain high standards and improve operational efficiency. Directly responsible for coordinating all phases of project execution on selected sites. This includes planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and ensuring that each project meets the company's standards for quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The Director will work closely with on-site teams to ensure that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational procedures, assess performance metrics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Budget Management: Oversee operational budgets, manage costs, and ensure profitability.
- Sales & Business Development (30% of role):
- Develop competitive pricing for upcoming RFPs of government and commercial contracts.
- Identify sales opportunities in ancillary services (disinfection, carpet cleaning, etc.).
- Ensure accurate, timely RFP submissions and document management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 10+ years of multi-state leadership experience in operations and sales in the janitorial or services industry, with desired experience in government contracts.
- Education: Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Certifications: Registered Building Service Manager (RBSM) or equivalent preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, budget management, and communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Office.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $150k–$165k, plus eligibility for a 15% bonus.
